San Diego Comic Con 2010 Hallmark Exclusive Ornaments

If you happen to be heading to San Diego Comic Con this weekend, be sure to stop by the Hallmark booth to check out their four ornaments exclusive to the convention.

This is the first to the best of my recollection for the company in conjunction with the most popular pop culture convention in the world. All of the ornaments definitely appeal to the usual audience for this convention and are sure to be quite popular.

They include:

DC Comics 75th Anniversary (pictured)
Mr. Burns from The Simpsons holding a candy cane
K-3PO (red) and R-3PO (white) two pack of protocol droids from The Empire Strikes Back

The ornaments are limited to just this weekend, so don’t be expecting to find these at your local Hallmark store any time soon.

Wacth The Star Wars Holiday Special

On Nov. 17, 1978, a horrible crime was committed against all of humanity: it was the night that The Star Wars Holiday Special aired. And, if I may note, it was the only time it ever aired.

If you have never seen it, consider yourself lucky, but if you have some sort of desire to torture yourself, here it is for your viewing “pleasure”. It truly is one of the most painful things ever aired on television, and it’s only saving grace is that it features the first appearance of the much loved Star Wars character Boba Fett, albeit in the form of a cartoon.

We warn you … if you have a weak stomach, heart condition, anything remotely resembling taste and so on, you may be better off having never seen this train wreck.

Hallmark Announces 2010 Star Wars Ornaments

It’s never too early too early to be thinking about Christmas ornaments, and Hallmark is taking advantage of the 2010 International Toy Fair in New York City to unveil its Star Wars ornaments for Christmas 2010.

The line-up of new ornaments for the popular Star Wars line includes:

Luke Skywalker – 30th Anniversary of Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back (14th in the Star Wars series)
Snowspeeder – 30th Anniversary of Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back
Darth Vader before Emperor Palpatine – 30th Anniversary of Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back
Boba Fett and Han Solo in Carbonite (Set of two miniature ornaments) – 30th Anniversary of Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back
Lando Calrissian – 30th Anniversary of Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back
Captain Rex and Yoda (Set of two miniature ornaments) – Star Wars: Clone Wars
